Target Audience: |
Insurance Agents, Insurance Brokers, Insurance
Associations, Business Associations, Underwriters, Claims Personnel, Loss
Control Personnel, and Students studying insurance.
This course is designed for anyone who does presentations
as part of his or her position. |
Goals of
Program: |
To Understand the "Do’s & Don'ts"
of building and delivering an effective presentation using available
software such as Freelance Graphics (Lotus Smart Suite), Corel Presentations
(WordPerfect Office Suite), PowerPoint (Microsoft Office), etc. |
By the end
of the hour, the listeners will be able to apply the knowledge they learned
and be aware of all the "traps" that can turn a very good communicator into
a very poor presenter. |
No discussion on software is presented. It is assumed by the presenter
that the audience is knowledgeable in the use of presentation software, or
the ‘old fashioned’ method of using an overhead projector. |
Scope of Course: |
Too often we attend a presentation
or meeting that is so poorly put together and presented, we lose track of
the subject matter. This course is designed for those people who make
presentations to their clients, etc. and would like to have guidelines on
how to put together a viable and interesting presentation. |
Although there
are only a few slides (a point that is stressed in the presentation), the
presenter uses several "live examples" from actual presentations in the
Corporate environment to illustrate many of the points. |
Metrics: |
Illustrate how to outline the presentation |
Show how to deliver the presentation |
Offer humorous anecdotes as to what should
not be done |
Use examples to expand points, both
good and bad |
